Does anyone know what this is?

I didn't notice a sign when I was taking the photo at the Distillery.
Anybody have a clue what the sculpture is called or who the artist is?

Laneways

I have this thing about taking photos of hallways, laneways or entrances.
Perhaps it reflects my mood or the never ending question we ask ourselves,
"What path do I follow in matters of Love and Life?". "Is this the road I take?"

Free Hugs!!!

In 2007 I visited Vancouver 2x. The first time in March, the second in October.
Every morning I started the day with a walk to Granville Island. I loved watching
the market opening up. The hum of people bustling to get their stands set up.
The smell of baked goods and all the fresh fruits and vegetables mmmm. Usually
I would walk about aimlessly taking photos of cool buildings or breathtaking views...
A great way to start the morning - relaxing while finding some inner peace.

One morning I stumbled into a group of individuals giving out FREE HUGS!!!
"because sometimes a hug is all you need" I can honestly tell you I giggled
and laughed all day while thinking "We need to see random things like this in
Toronto". Perhaps people would walk around w/ more smiles and giggles on
their face... Yes, I did get/give a hug!!!

Hey Baby, Let the Free Birds Fly

I spent some time yesterday morning ducking and dodging two pigeons that accidently flew
into the office. I felt horrible for them as they kept smashing into the window while trying to
escape. Eventually my co-workers arrived w/ their assistance, some coaxing w/ sunflower
seeds and a broom we managed to free the birds. What a way to start the day.

Harbourfront Circus

This Holiday Monday (Victoria Day) I went to down to Harbourfront
w/ my mom. We usually try to meet once a week. On warmer days
we venture downtown, usually ending up at the Harourfront. One of
our favourite areas to hang out in Toronto. Every weekend there
is an event going on and this weekend they had a circus. FUN!! Also
a great opportunity to try and practice my action shots!

Still working out some settings on the new camera. I LOVE the zoom
feature!!! WOW, can I ever get in tight and still maintain a focus.
HATE the white balance, can't figure it out, so there's a glare in my
photos that is driving me mad. Also, the macro isin't getting a sharp
focus, like the old camera. On a positive side, the vivid feature is
pretty cool, the colours really POP!!! They're so vibrant. In time and
w/ more trial and error the quality will improve.

Canada Blooms

Been meaning to add these pics from the Canada Blooms Exhibit (March 18-22-9).

There were so many to chose from, the narrowing down process took some time.

Hope you enjoy them.
